In the midst of countless dropped flowers,
my head is still head high

In the midst of countless weeping flowers,
I am merely one

I will not give up, even if you aren't here
I will wait
With my head looking high
tears shedding
I will wait
I will forever wait

In the acient mythologies, there is the story of the sunflower (:
My mother read this story to me when I was young, and I had always thought what a stupid person the sun flower was.
But now Im just like her///shot

The sunflower is a symbol of constancy (:

Because sunflowers drop their head when there is no sun/when the blooming season is over, I show how there is one who is the true 'Clytie'. Hopelessly waiting

The tale of the sunflower :

Clytie was a water-nymph and in love with ('god' of the sun)Apollo, who made her no
return. So she pined away, sitting all day long upon the cold
ground. She gazed on the sun when he rose,
and as he passed through his daily course to his
setting; she saw no other object, her face turned constantly on
him. with time, she turned into a sunflower to always to face
the sun throughout its daily course; for it retains to that
extent the feeling of Clytie.

Long story short, she was wasting her life away to wait for a love that will never happen. Then turned herself into a sunflower which will continue to admire and follow the sun in the place of her feelings

WOW. The sheer atmosphere and the layout of bright yet ominous starry nightscape and sunflowers near sentient-like with its vibrant faces & fleshy petals is powerful yet bringing out a sense of solitude at the same time. Maybe it's the contrast b/w the wind-blown nature of the character's hair and the near haunting stillness of the sunflower field, maybe it's her soulful gaze into the heavens in tandem with the Clytie legend. Anyways this brings out so many emotions within vigorous forms.
